Everything on this site describes rules in general terms. It is not legal advice, tax advice or investment advice, and it is not given in respect of your situation. No relationship of adviser and client is created by your reading it, by your writing to me, or by my replying.
Your circumstances almost certainly contain facts this site does not know about. Two companies that look identical on paper can be treated differently because of how their investment was registered, what their licence says, or what their bank has agreed internally.

- Ask your own bank what it will require, because banks differ.
- Take professional advice where the amount at stake justifies it.
